(Phnom Penh): Cambodia welcomed around 70 Chinese companies from 22 to 24 July 2026 to explore investment opportunities, highlighting growing confidence in the Kingdom’s economy and business climate.
The delegation, led by Qi Fang, included investors from Guangxi, Guangdong, Sichuan, Fujian, Beijing, Chongqing, and Hong Kong. They represented sectors such as renewable energy, electric vehicles, agriculture, healthcare, AI, manufacturing, infrastructure, logistics, tourism, and finance.
Speaking at the Cambodia-China Business and Investment Cooperation Forum, Mam Vandy, Vice President of the Veterans and Retirees Association, said it was the first time Cambodia had hosted a delegation of about 70 Chinese companies. He added that the visit aims to boost investment, support business expansion, and improve the livelihoods of veterans and retirees.
Qi Fang said the Guangxi International Friendship Association promotes international cooperation, trade, and people-to-people exchanges while supporting China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
The visit underscored Cambodia’s growing appeal as an investment destination, with the government continuing to improve the business environment to attract foreign direct investment, create jobs, and encourage technology transfer.
