(Phnom Penh): Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wenbin said the successful landing in Hong Kong of the SHV-HK modern submarine fibre-optic cable project marks another milestone in efforts to strengthen Cambodia’s digital infrastructure.

In a post on social media on 24 July 2026, Ambassador Wang underlined that the 3,000-kilometre submarine cable linking Sihanoukville, Cambodia, to Hong Kong, China, will contribute to bolstering the information infrastructure and address the digital development gaps of Cambodia.
