(Phnom Penh): Chaktomuk Walk Street attracted approximately 100,000 visitors on Sunday night (Jul. 26), including around 1,000 international tourists, highlighting its growing popularity as one of Phnom Penh's premier weekend attractions.

Dor Samphors, Spokesperson for the Phnom Penh Municipal Administration, said public support for the pedestrian street has continued to grow each week. She added that municipal authorities, security forces, and local officials have consistently maintained security, public order, public safety, and environmental cleanliness throughout the event.

According to Samphors, visitor numbers and public interest have steadily increased since the launch of the initiative. Authorities in Daun Penh District, together with the Phnom Penh Capital Administration, have worked closely to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both local and international visitors.

To enhance the experience, the Phnom Penh Capital Administration has organized a diverse lineup of entertainment, featuring traditional and contemporary performances. Visitors can also enjoy a wide selection of local food, beverages, and souvenir stalls along the pedestrian street.

Chaktomuk Walk Street has also been ranked second worldwide as a destination for nighttime entertainment, further boosting its international profile.

In addition, several diplomatic missions in Cambodia, including the United States Embassy, Chinese Embassy, the European Union Delegation, and other foreign embassies, have chosen Chaktomuk Walk Street as a venue for hosting important public events.
