(Phnom Penh): Cambodia exported bicycles worth approximately USD 360 million to partner countries in the first half of 2026, marking a 19 percent increase from USD 300 million during the same period last year, according to the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia (GDCE).
The country's main bicycle export markets were the United States, Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.
Meanwhile, Cambodia imported bicycles from Japan, China, Viet Nam, Thailand, and the United States.
The latest growth builds on the industry's strong performance in 2025, when bicycle exports reached $609.33 million, up 42.73 percent compared with 2024.
According to the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), the country currently has eight bicycle assembly factories operating in special economic zones in Svay Rieng Province: A AND J (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD., SPEEDTECH INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD., SMART TECH (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD., XDS BICYCLE (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD., EVERGRAND BICYCLE (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD., Cycletech (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD., Wan Da Wei YE INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD., and LINGRICH BICYCLE (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD.
The European Union also allows Cambodia to use bicycle parts and raw materials sourced from Viet Nam to manufacture bicycles locally for export to the EU. The arrangement has improved manufacturers' access to raw materials and strengthened Cambodia's competitiveness in the global bicycle market, contributing to the sector's continued growth.
