(Phnom Penh): The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC) highlighted Cambodia's digital transformation initiatives and investment opportunities during a meeting with a delegation from the US-ASEAN Business Council on 22 July 2026.
The delegation, led by Brian D. McFeeters, President and CEO of the US-ASEAN Business Council, along with representatives from several US companies, held discussions with Liv Sophanarith, Secretary of State at the MPTC, on expanding business cooperation.
During the meeting, both sides discussed strengthening collaboration in key areas, including postal services, digital technology and cybersecurity, and telecommunications.
The secretary of state also briefed the delegation on Cambodia's Digital Park development project, which aims to attract foreign investment through government-backed incentives and support mechanisms.
He outlined the ministry's broader efforts to advance Cambodia's digital economy, including the development of digital parks and the expansion of high-speed internet infrastructure to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The secretary of state also underscored Cambodia's investment potential across the three sectors and emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation and building strategic partnerships to drive future investment in the country.
