(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn will pay an official visit to Malaysia from 3 to 4 August 2026 at the invitation of Malaysian Foreign Minister Dato' Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan, according to a press release seen by Fresh News on Friday (Jul. 31).
During the visit, Prak Sokhonn is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim and co-chair the 3rd Cambodia-Malaysia Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) with his Malaysian counterpart.
According to the press release, the 3rd JCBC will comprehensively review the progress made in implementing the Agreed Minutes of the 2nd JCBC and previously concluded agreements. It will further outline concrete measures to deepen and broaden cooperation across multiple sectors, thereby injecting fresh momentum into the robust and multifaceted relations between Cambodia and Malaysia.
This forthcoming visit by the minister reinforces the enduring bonds of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation of the two peoples, and underscores the shared commitment of both countries to advancing peace, prosperity, and sustainable development.
