(Bangkok): Two Russian siblings who were reported missing in Thailand have been found dead, while two suspects have confessed to killing them during an attempted motorcycle robbery, according to Thai media reports.

The victims, a 17-year-old boy and his 22-year-old sister, disappeared on Sunday. Investigators allege that the suspects attempted to steal the siblings' motorcycle, during which the teenage boy was shot and his sister was fatally assaulted.

Authorities said the suspects later buried the victims' bodies near Khao Chi Chan in Chonburi Province. The stolen motorcycle was reportedly partially dismantled and buried near a cemetery.

The two suspects, aged 43 and 39, were arrested on 31 July 2026, in Wang Sombun District, Sa Kaeo Province. Police subsequently escorted them to the suspected burial site, where they allegedly identified the location of the victims' remains.

Thai authorities are continuing their investigation into the case. The reported confessions and other evidence are expected to form part of the ongoing legal proceedings.
