(Preah Vihear): Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wenbin expressed strong confidence in the leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Prime Minister Hun Manet in addressing the needs of people displaced by the border conflict with Thailand, as well as other related challenges.

Ambassador Wang made the remarks during a visit with Preah Vihear Governor Kim Rithy to deliver Chinese humanitarian aid to displaced residents in Preah Vihear province on Monday (Aug. 3). It was his second visit to provide assistance on behalf of the Chinese government and people.

Speaking during the visit, the ambassador said, "I would like to assure you that these hardships are only temporary. The Cambodian people are a great nation with the determination and resilience to overcome every difficulty and challenge. We hope that, under the gracious protection of the king and the leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Prime Minister Hun Manet, Cambodia will continue its positive momentum of peaceful economic development."

Ambassador Wang said China will continue supporting the Royal Government of Cambodia and provide ongoing assistance to displaced residents until they are able to return home.
