(Siem Reap): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet welcomed a delegation of ASEAN Heads of Civil Service, led by Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, Chairman of Indonesia's National Civil Service Agency, as regional leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to building more responsive, innovative, and people-centred public services.

The courtesy call took place on Wednesday (Aug. 5) on the sidelines of the 23rd ASEAN Conference on Civil Service Matters (ACCSM) and the 8th ASEAN Plus Three Conference on Civil Service Matters (ACCSM+3) in Siem Reap.

The delegation congratulated Cambodia on successfully hosting both meetings and commended this year's theme, "Innovation for Better Service Delivery," saying it reflects ASEAN's collective vision of strengthening efficient, citizen-focused governance across the region. They also reaffirmed their commitment to working closely with Cambodia and fellow ASEAN member states to deepen regional cooperation and further advance public sector reform.

In response, Prime Minister Hun Manet welcomed the delegation and said their participation reflected ASEAN's strong commitment to advancing regional civil service cooperation. He highlighted Cambodia's civil service reforms, which focus on strengthening institutions, promoting innovation, enhancing accountability and transparency, and integrating technology to improve public service delivery.

The prime minister expressed confidence that the meetings would yield fruitful outcomes through the exchange of best practices and stronger civil service cooperation among ASEAN and ASEAN Plus Three member states.
