(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said the Royal Government is accelerating reforms across the public and private sectors by strengthening governance, promoting meritocracy, and advancing digital transformation to enhance productivity and national competitiveness.

Speaking at the Royal University of Law and Economics' graduation ceremony on Thursday (Aug. 6), the prime minister aid institutional reforms are being combined with improved incentive systems and digital technologies to modernise workplaces across both sectors.

"The Royal Government is improving working conditions in both the public and private sectors through institutional and governance reforms, the promotion of meritocracy, and adjustments to various incentive systems within the framework of digital technology development," he said.

On the occasion, Smadech Thipadei Hun Manet highlighted the implementation of the Digital Economy and Society Policy Framework 2021–2035, describing it as a long-term strategy to build a modern digital ecosystem and support sustainable economic growth.

He also underlined the Cambodian Digital Government Policy 2022-2035, which aims to deliver smarter public services and integrate Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), into government operations.

Samdech Thipadei added that Cambodia's digital transformation agenda also seeks to modernise the education system, improve learning efficiency, and equip the country's workforce with the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven regional economy.
