(Phnom Penh): Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Cambodian Senate President, sent a congratulatory message to Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, on the auspicious occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day, according to a letter seen by Fresh News on Friday (Aug. 14).

In the letter, Samdech Techo expressed his warmest congratulations and best wishes on behalf of the Cambodian Senate and the people of Cambodia to Chairman Gilani, the Pakistani Senate, and the citizens of Pakistan.

“On the auspicious occasion of the Independence Day of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on behalf of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia and on my own behalf, I have the great pleasure to extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to Your Excellency, the Senate, and the people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.”

Highlighting the enduring relationship between the two nations, Samdech Techo Hun Sen noted that he highly values the longstanding bonds of friendship and close cooperation connecting Cambodia and Pakistan, particularly between their legislative institutions.

“I highly value the longstanding bonds of friendship and good cooperation between Cambodia and Pakistan, particularly between the legislative institutions of our two countries. I wish to take this opportunity to reaffirm my readiness to continue working more closely with Your Excellency to further strengthen the friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between our two Parliaments, especially the Senates, peoples, and countries.”
