(Phnom Penh): Cambodia will host the 2nd Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC-2) from 26 to 28 August 2026 at the General Department of Taxation Convention Centre in Phnom Penh, at the request of the Founding President of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference.

Held under the theme “Solidarity for Peace and Shared Prosperity: Strengthening International Law and Resolving Conflicts Peacefully,” the conference will bring together parliamentary leaders, representatives, heads of inter-parliamentary organizations, international organizations, and delegations from across Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Oceania and Latin America.

Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni will deliver a royal message at the opening ceremony. Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Senate President and President of ISC-2; Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, Founding President of ISC and Chairman of Pakistan’s Senate; Prime Minister Hun Manet; and the Secretary-General of ISC will also deliver remarks on strengthening parliamentary diplomacy and international cooperation for lasting peace and prosperity.

Ouch Borith, First Vice President of the Senate and High Representative of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, and Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani will co-chair the general debate. Parliamentary and international leaders will exchange views and experiences on pressing global challenges, with Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn delivering a special address.

Heads of delegations will receive a royal audience with King Norodom Sihamoni and pay courtesy calls on Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet. They will also visit exhibitions highlighting Cambodia’s culture, trade, industry, tourism and development achievements, as well as major cultural sites in Phnom Penh.

National Assembly President Khuon Sudary will deliver the closing remarks.

Hosting ISC-2 underscores Cambodia’s strong commitment to addressing global challenges through parliamentary diplomacy, international cooperation and solidarity, while advancing the shared goals of peace, prosperity, respect for international law and peaceful conflict resolution.
