(Phnom Penh): The Royal Cambodian Army (RCA), together with the National Centre for Peacekeeping Forces, Mine and ERW Clearance (NPMEC), US Army Pacific (USARPAC), and the Idaho National Guard, conducted the Initial Planning Conference (IPC) for Exercise Angkor Sentinel 2027 from 31 August to 4 September 2026, marking an important step toward the resumption of the bilateral exercise.
Both sides discussed key training activities, including a Command Post Exercise (CPX) and professional exchanges in medical, engineering, and Explosive Ordnance Disposal/Unexploded Ordnance (EOD/UXO) capabilities.
Exercise Angkor Sentinel 2027 is scheduled to take place in February 2027, with the aim of strengthening interoperability and disaster-response capabilities, reflecting renewed momentum in Cambodia–U.S. military cooperation and a shared commitment to strengthening defense cooperation.
