(Preah Vihear): Thai forces fired 1,599 artillery shells at Preah Vihear Temple during the two rounds of fighting in 2025, hitting 501 targets and leaving 977 UXO items and four drones, according to CMAC Director General Heng Ratana.

CMAC has identified around 16,000 explosion sites covering 3,000 square kilometres along the Cambodia-Thailand border and cleared about 10,000 mines and UXO items across more than 100 square kilometres over the past six months.

Heng Ratana said Thai forces used M42, M46 and M85 cluster munitions and approximately 120,000–130,000 155mm artillery shells, containing an estimated 6–7 million submunitions, affecting 335 villages in 60 communes and more than 290,000 hectares.

Kong Puthikar, Director General of the National Authority for Preah Vihear, said Thai heavy weapons and airstrikes severely damaged 562 locations and around 70,000 stone fragments at the World Heritage Site, affecting structures, gopuras, carvings, walls, sanctuaries and tourism infrastructure.
