(Phnom Penh): KB PRASAC Bank and the Cambodia Tourism Board (CTB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation and support the “Dare to Stay” strategic micro drama project, an innovative initiative designed to showcase Cambodia as a modern, safe, connected, vibrant, and scenic destination to audiences in Cambodia and around the world.
Under the cooperation, KB PRASAC Bank will participate as a Pride Partner of “Dare to Stay,” a 50-episode micro drama developed by CTB and OMG Studios (Oceanus Media Global). The project uses an engaging Korean-Khmer love story to introduce audiences to Cambodia's contemporary lifestyle, digital connectivity, modern infrastructure, hospitality, and diverse destinations.
The signing ceremony marks KB PRASAC Bank's commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to Cambodia's tourism development and strengthen the country's image among domestic and international audiences.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ry Vanna, President & CEO of KB PRASAC Bank said, “KB PRASAC Bank is proud to be a Pride Partner of ‘Dare to Stay.’ This is more than a micro drama; it is a creative way to tell the story of a modern, vibrant, connected, and confident Cambodia to the world. As a leading commercial bank, we believe we have a role to play in supporting Cambodia's economic development and the businesses and communities that contribute to our country's growth.”
He added, “Through this partnership, we look forward to working closely with the Cambodia Tourism Board and its ecosystem of tourism-related partners. We are also pleased to have opportunities to promote KB PRASAC Bank and our banking services through CTB's communication channels, while creating meaningful connections with businesses across the tourism ecosystem.”
Kim Minea, CEO of the Cambodia Tourism Board said, “We would like to express our sincere thanks to KB PRASAC Bank for joining us in showcasing Cambodia to the world. At CTB, we have a big ambition: to tell Cambodia’s story more clearly and confidently to the world. We cannot do this alone. We need strong private-sector partners who understand that tourism is a powerful driver of Cambodia’s economy, supporting businesses, creating jobs and bringing greater opportunities to our people.”
“Cambodia has a lot of amazing stories to tell. We have our rich culture and heritage, beautiful nature, coastlines and islands, as well as Phnom Penh and other cities that reflect a young, energetic and increasingly modern Cambodia. We are also becoming more digital, with more convenient banking systems and greater connectivity making it easier for visitors to experience the country. This creative micro-drama format is a powerful tool that goes beyond traditional storytelling. It can draw people into a story, help them connect with the characters, spark curiosity about the places they see, and inspire them to discover those destinations for themselves.”
The partnership will also enable KB PRASAC Bank to engage with businesses and partners within the Cambodia Tourism ecosystem, creating opportunities to explore collaboration and provide relevant financial and digital banking solutions to tourism-related businesses.
“Dare to Stay” is designed to reach audiences through popular short-form digital platforms, including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, with the initial launch focused on Cambodia before expanding its reach to South Korea, Southeast Asia, Indonesia, and other international audiences.
For KB PRASAC Bank, the project also provides an opportunity to naturally showcase the role of digital banking, cashless payments and financial technology in modern Cambodian life, reflecting the Bank's commitment to supporting Cambodia's digital economy.
The MoU represents another step in KB PRASAC Bank's commitment to contributing to Cambodia's economic and social development through partnerships that connect businesses, communities and opportunities.
Through this collaboration, KB PRASAC Bank and the Cambodia Tourism Board look forward to supporting the success of “Dare to Stay” and collectively sharing a positive and contemporary story of Cambodia with audiences at home and abroad.
