(Phnom Penh): Cambodian National Assembly President Khuon Sudary extended her warmest congratulations to Zhao Leji, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) of China, and the Chinese people on the 77th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China.

In her congratulatory message, Khuon Sudary conveyed her greetings on behalf of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia and herself to Zhao Leji, his colleagues and the people of China on the historic occasion, which falls on 1 October 2026.

"I am confident that our ironclad friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership, in particular between our legislatures, built on mutual political trust and practical cooperation, will be further strengthened through regular exchanges at all levels towards building an all-weather community with a shared future," Khuon Sudary wrote.

“Today, China stands as a key global anchor contributing to world peace, stability and prosperity,” she added.

Khuon Sudary further expressed confidence that under the wise and visionary leadership of the Communist Party of China, China will realize her vision of becoming a modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced, harmonious and beautiful by the centenary of the founding of the People's Republic of China in 2049.
