(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn will lead a high-level delegation to attend the General Debate of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81), to be held from 22 to 28 September 2026 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, under the theme, “Restoring Trust, Managing Transformation: A United Nations that Delivers for All.”

During the general debate, Minister Sokhonn will deliver Cambodia's national statement, outlining Cambodia's perspectives on key regional and global issues, underscoring the enduring importance of multilateralism, and highlight the need to further strengthen the role, effectiveness, and relevance of the United Nations system in addressing the complex and evolving challenges facing the international community.

He will also highlight Cambodia's development priorities and strategies, as well as its continued commitment to advancing sustainable and inclusive development.

On the sidelines of the General Dabate, the minister is scheduled to hold several bilateral meetings to exchange views on further strengthening bilateral relations and advancing Cambodia's contributions to international peace and security, and sustainable development.
