Phnom Penh (FN): In an exclusive interview with Fresh News English, UK Home Office Minister of State Lord David Hanson outlines how Cambodia and the United Kingdom are stepping up cooperation to combat cross-border online scams.

Following the signing of a new Cambodia-UK MoU, the two countries will strengthen cooperation through information and intelligence sharing, training, expertise and coordinated action against scammers.

Lord Hanson says the cooperation could help authorities track scammers, disrupt their operations, freeze or seize illicit assets and impose sanctions. He underscored that international cooperation is essential because scammers “operate without borders.”
