(Battambang): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet praised Battambang authorities, civil servants and armed forces for their efforts to protect and assist residents affected by border conflict and recent flooding.

Speaking on Thursday (Oct. 8) at a graduation ceremony at the University of Management and Economics in Battambang province, the premier said the province has faced two major crises over the past year, placing significant pressure on border communities.

He noted that districts including Phnom Proek, Kamrieng and Samlot were affected by border clashes, while recent flooding created additional challenges for residents and authorities.

Samdech Thipadei commended local officials and armed forces for their coordinated rescue and relief efforts, stressing that their dedication and sacrifices have helped protect lives and support affected families.
